TG (Tom) Lewis

In Memory of Kirk & Tom
My dear friend and Producer T.G. (Tom) Lewis. (R.I.P.)

It is with a very heavy heart that I have to report that my dear friend, producer and director, Thomas Lewis, was taken from us on 16th September 2025 in a motorcycle accident. The accident occurred on U.S. Highway 36 in Washington County, Kansas.

I've known Tom for over 34 years. We met for the first time at the Longmont Performing Arts Centre (Longmont Theatre Company) when we both acted in The Elephant Man.

TG was a video king. Very few people could better him when Tom was behind the camera framing shots. He was a wizard, he also excelled at lighting for video. One of the fun projects I worked on with Tom was the short "movie" called "The Runner". This was all filmed at our local watering hole called "Cheers", (same location as The Speakeasy, Longmont). This was filmed over 2 days, what a blast it was. I played "Gascan".

Jumping forward, through a series of chance, I ended up with a radio show (late night Saturdays) on a community radio station in Fort Collins (KRFC 88.9). I did the radio show (Titled: Your Mother Wouldn't Like  It) for 5 years (what a blast that was) but the long drive up to Fort Collins every Saturday became a bit long in the  tooth, so I decided to give up the show.

AND then, one week later, Tom calls and says to me, "NIGEL, guess what, we have a TV studio!" And the rest as they say, is history. Here we are 10 years later. We survived the COVID out break (doing a couple of shows on how badly the government was coping), we survived the passing of the studio founder, Kirk Weilepp. During the last 10 years I've had a blast interviewing people from all walks of life and from all over Colorado. I've been very lucky to have met the incredible people that TG found for me to interview. (Well, I find find a couple of them!)

What is so up in the air now is what will happen with the Captns Lounge. I can only keep you informed in the future. But hell, I'm going to miss using my line, "Welcome to the table".
